Home Energy Workshop to be Held April 19

Posted Apr. 18, 2012

The Kent State University at Salem Student Government Organization is working in conjunction with Green Apple Project and Brewer-Garrett to host a Home Energy Workshop to educate the students about saving energy at home to help the environment. There will also be a T-shirt giveaway!

Green Apple Project logoThe goal of the workshop is to help the students and university ‘go green’ by taking some small, practical steps at home. The Green Apple Project staff will be presenting a few tips on energy savings at home that most people do not think about. For example, most people do not realize that appliances continue to use electricity when they are plugged in but not being used. The workshop will also provide a few demonstrations on how to save energy at home.

The Student Government Organization and Green Apple Project believe that saving the environment begins at home. If people can change how they act at home, they will be able to bring that into every other aspect of their community – to work, to school, to the gym, etc.
