Home Energy Workshop

Posted Feb. 20, 2012

Kent State University East Liverpool Environmental Club is working in conjunction with Green Apple Project, Brewer-Garrett and Westgate Middle School to host a Home Energy Workshop to educate the community and local students about saving energy at home to help the environment.

Green Apple LogoThe goal of the workshop is to help the community ‘go green’ by taking some small, practical steps at home. Green Apple Project will be presenting a few tips on energy savings at home that most people do not think about. For example, most people do not realize that appliances continue to use electricity when they are plugged in but not being used. The workshop will also provide a few demonstrations on how to save energy at home.

The KSU East Liverpool Environmental Club and Green Apple Project believe that saving the environment begins at home. If people can change how they act at home, they will be able to bring that into every other aspect of their community – to work, to school, to the gym, etc.
